作品取材自本人曾經任教的特殊學校學生。學生沒有智力障礙,部分學生因情緒行為偏差、家庭背景複雜而入讀,對於部分性格偏執的學生來說,即使是小事件亦他們亦會受情緒影響,做出激烈的反抗行為。本人與他們建立關係後,發現他們其實能夠理性與你溝通,並講述自己的過去。但是由於成長經歷的挫折與失望,讓他們變得倔強、偏執,最後左右了自己的前途。畫作呈現的是他們上課時調皮的小行為,本人並不是要強調他們頑皮的本性,再現的本身,是想表達出他們在困局中(強制教育下的生活環境),如何彰顯出「自由」的生命力。而本人寫生的同時,也在在觀照自我。
The works are based on the special school students who once taught. The students do not have intellectual disabilities, but most of them have emotional and behavioral disorders, and they will reject even small tasks because of their emotions and attitudes. When you make friends with them, you will find that they can communicate with you rationally, but the setbacks and disappointments in their growth make them stubborn and paranoid, which finally affects their future. The painting represents their mischievous behavior in class. I am not emphasizing their mischievous nature and reproducing their mischievous behavior. I want to show how they demonstrate "freedom" in a predicament (living environment under compulsory education) vitality.
