畢業作品介紹
本人的畢業作品可分為兩部分，《學生十六相》為早期作品，《畢業禮》和《女兒在一個星期前他們踏過的地方走過》屬於中後期作品，一系列作品是想再現宿命與自由的交纏。

作品取材自本人曾經任教的特殊學校學生。學生沒有智力障礙，部分學生因情緒行為偏差、家庭背景複雜而入讀，對於部分性格偏執的學生來說，即使是小事件亦他們亦會受情緒影響，做出激烈的反抗行為。本人與他們建立關係後，發現他們其實能夠理性與你溝通，並講述自己的過去。但是由於成長經歷的挫折與失望，讓他們變得倔強、偏執，最後左右了自己的前途。畫作呈現的是他們上課時調皮的小行為，本人並不是要強調他們頑皮的本性，再現的本身，是想表達出他們在困局中（強制教育下的生活環境），如何彰顯出「自由」的生命力。而本人寫生的同時，也在在觀照自我。
The works are based on the special school students who once taught. The students do not have intellectual disabilities, but most of them have emotional and behavioral disorders, and they will reject even small tasks because of their emotions and attitudes. When you make friends with them, you will find that they can communicate with you rationally, but the setbacks and disappointments in their growth make them stubborn and paranoid, which finally affects their future. The painting represents their mischievous behavior in class. I am not emphasizing their mischievous nature and reproducing their mischievous behavior. I want to show how they demonstrate "freedom" in a predicament (living environment under compulsory education) vitality.

畫作取材自十六相中其中一位學生，是一位中二已輟學的學生。中三畢業禮那天，他穿上尚算整齊的校服，回來跟同學拍畢業照。對他來說，完成強制教育令（即15歲）的他，終於能夠迎來真正「自由」的成人世界，但事實上，對我來說這不過是宿命的入口。同學喜歡賭錢，喜歡90年代的MK文化，故此畫作中刻意把禮堂換成舊式酒樓，地上的舊式賭博工具，除了是反映了他的興趣，「雙天至尊」的排法，也是暗示了他像孫悟空，儘管有七十二變，亦不能逃避宿命，渡過取西經的艱險人生。
Secondary 2 dropouts put on neat school uniforms and come back to attend the graduation ceremony of their classmates. For him, after completing the compulsory education order, he can finally be liberated into the truly "free" adult world, but in fact, for me, this is just the beginning of the path of destiny. He likes to gamble money and the “MK” culture in the 90s, so the auditorium is deliberately painted as an old-style Chinese restaurant in the painting, and the old-style gambling tools on the ground not only reflect his interest, also hints at his Like Sun Wukong (Monkey King), even though It is powerful and have magic but still can't escape his fate and go through the difficult life of learning the Western Scriptures.

畫作描繪的是本人女兒在百萬大道亂走的記憶。疫情完結，防疫限制結束，我帶剛懂走路的女兒到中大看展，展後到百萬大道上亂走放電，片刻讓我想起一個星期前，我曾帶學生到中大參與生涯規劃活動。那時候有一位學生告訴我大學原來那麼大，有些同學跑過「仲門」（在中大傳說中，這是代表未能畢業）。對於我的學生來說，我是十多年來第一個帶他來的人，對他們來說，大學好似遙不可及，而我卻在女兒一歲時候帶她過來，他們好似存在於同一空間，卻有擁有截然不同的運命的兩路人。女兒正面凝望着畫作中的我，讓我起自己的人生路，表面上是充滿選擇，實際上也是身不由己。
The painting depicts the days when my daughter was walking around on Million Avenue. After COVID-19, I took my daughter, who was just learning to walk, for a walk on CUHK. It reminded me of a week ago when I took students to CUHK to participate in life planning activities. At that time, a student told me that the university was so big that some students ran through the "Zhongmen" (in the legend of CUHK, this means that they have not graduated). For my students, whom I brought for the first time in over a decade, college seemed out of reach, and I brought my daughter here when she was one, and they seemed to exist in the same Space, but there are two people with completely different destinies.
